Three people working together on an activity in a bright, sunlit room

Six steps, no obligation

How to get started

A clear path from your first message to the start of approved support, with honest answers at every step.

  1. Get in touch

Call or send us a message. There is no obligation and no cost to ask. Even if we are not the right provider, we will try to point you somewhere useful.

  2. Talk through what is needed

We will ask about the person, their situation and what would actually help. You will get straight answers, including about what we cannot offer.

  3. Confirm the program

We work with your service coordinator or LIDDA to confirm program participation and what has been authorized. This step is theirs, not ours, and we will explain where things stand.

  4. Meet and visit

Before anything is agreed, the person and their family meet the team and see wherever support would be provided. Nobody should commit to something they have not seen.

  5. Develop the plan

Together with the person and their team, we agree what support looks like day to day, who provides it, and how we will know it is working.

  6. Begin approved services

Support starts. We stay closely in touch through the first weeks and review openly as things settle.

A note about eligibility

Eligibility for the HCS program is determined by the State of Texas and your Local Intellectual and Developmental Disability Authority (LIDDA), not by us. No provider can approve someone for the program or move them up the interest list. What we can do is explain how the process works, tell you which LIDDA covers your area, and help you reach the right people, whether or not you end up working with us.
